Building Manager – Multi‑site Estate

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Management professional to take ownership of a high‑profile building environment across a large, complex multi‑site estate. You will act as the primary point of contact for building operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and an outstanding experience for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Facilities Supervisors and Assistants.
• Serve as the main liaison for building users and attend stakeholder meetings.
• Oversee service delivery to maintain high standards, operational effectiveness and statutory compliance.
• Manage contractor activities, inductions, safe systems of work and policy adherence.
• Maintain documentation such as risk assessments, permits to work and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance and service requests with help‑desk and estates teams.
• Monitor outstanding maintenance tasks and drive timely resolution.
• Act as the lead contact for health and safety matters, escalating risks as needed.
• Support building moves, refurbishments, workspace changes and estate improvement projects.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure safety and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities or building management within a multi‑site environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage contractor relationships.
• Knowledge of health, safety and statutory compliance requirements.
