Business Development Executive

About the role

Join Reconomy Connect in Telford as a Business Development Executive, helping customers shift from traditional waste disposal to smart, sustainable resource management. You will build and nurture relationships, re‑engage lapsed accounts and uncover new business opportunities across sectors such as construction, manufacturing and retail.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and convert upsell and cross‑sell opportunities into bookings.
• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, increasing spend and delivering tailored waste solutions.
• Maintain accurate customer data and interactions in Salesforce CRM.
• Prospect new leads, handle incoming enquiries and support the onboarding of new customers.
• Re‑engage lapsed customers and win back business.

Required profile

• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and KPIs.
• Understanding of gross profit, margins and commercial pricing.
• Excellent communication and confident telephone manner.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and driven to achieve results.
• Enjoys working in a supportive, team‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
