National Business Development Manager – Soils & Materials Management

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced National Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across our Soils & Materials Management division. You’ll be the face of our expertise in soil testing, muck‑away, and materials management, driving opportunities across national accounts and opening doors to major projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using self‑generated opportunities and company leads, collaborating with a bid team where required.
• Engage and present to a variety of client stakeholders, from on‑site operations to boardrooms, to grow profitable accounts.
• Work closely with the wider BDM team, account managers and department heads across Ecofficiency and Reconomy.
• Establish and grow relationships at office and site levels within key accounts and support strategic rollout of materials‑management services.
• Champion the company’s value proposition, raise awareness of Materials Management and Soil Testing capabilities, and support the testing team on muck‑away opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven success selling outsourced solutions within soils, waste, environmental or recycling sectors.
• Ability to generate, nurture and convert opportunities with senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Experience writing or contributing to winning bids and tenders.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across the UK.
