Business Development Manager - Flat Roof Insulation

About the role

This is a field‑sales position focused on selling a manufactured range of flat‑roof insulation. You will work primarily across the North (M62 corridor) and will be responsible for growing a territory that currently generates about £1.5 million in turnover.

Key responsibilities

• Spend 70% of your time selling to flat‑roofing and membrane manufacturers.
• Spend the remaining 30% selling to main & sub‑contractors and roofing distributors such as Encon, Minster and SIG.
• Develop new business opportunities across residential, hotel, healthcare and education projects.
• Meet or exceed personal and company sales targets to unlock uncapped commission.
• Maintain strong relationships with specifiers, contractors and manufacturers.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales experience in the building envelope, waterproofing, flat roofing, insulation or facades sectors.
• Experience selling to flat‑roofing manufacturers is preferred but not essential.
• Comfortable using IT tools and CRM systems (IT literate).

What we offer

• Base salary between £50,000 and £60,000 per year.
• Uncapped commission (potentially £21,000+ when targets are met).
