Senior Project Manager – Municipal

About the role

Fehr Graham is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead municipal engineering projects. The role combines technical guidance, client relationship management, and business development across its West Union and Manchester, Iowa offices.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee municipal projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate project teams, sub‑consultants, and staffing to resolve scheduling, staffing, or quality issues.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, presentations, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Invoice clients, explain billed items, and follow up on accounts.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for project write‑offs and enforce quality control.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of municipal project management experience, preferably in consulting.
• Professional license in the relevant discipline and Project Management certification.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Team‑player attitude with the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
