Business Development Representative – Tech Sales

About the role

VIQU IT Recruitment is looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to join its tech sales team in Birmingham. You will focus on generating new business, building relationships with senior IT stakeholders, and driving revenue across the technology recruitment market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and win new business across SaaS vendors, consultancies and end‑users.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders such as CTOs, IT Directors and Hiring Managers.
• Understand hiring needs in Cloud, DevOps, Data and Cyber security markets.
• Conduct business development calls, meetings and client pitches.
• Manage and grow a personal client portfolio, selling both contract and permanent recruitment solutions.
• Negotiate fees, rates and commercial terms.
• Deliver against revenue and gross profit targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT/Tech sales, SaaS, cloud, MSP or telecoms.
• Background in B2B or consultative solution selling.
• Strong commercial drive with a focus on high earnings.
• Confident engaging senior stakeholders and resilient to rejection.
