Care Home Support Worker – £21 per hour

About the role

Join a leading care staffing provider to deliver high‑quality support to older adults in residential care homes or in community settings across the Scottish islands. The role is offered on a 3‑month block contract with competitive hourly rates and the chance to work in some of the UK’s most scenic locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing and toileting.
• Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately.
• Use safe moving and handling techniques to support residents.
• Deliver care in a residential home environment or make multiple home visits per day, depending on the placement.
• Work flexible shifts, often covering long days or split/night patterns.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting older adults.
• Ability to work independently and comfortably in lone‑working situations.
• Willingness to travel to and stay on Scottish islands for the contract duration.
• Full UK driving licence is preferred for care‑home roles and mandatory for community‑home placements.
• Flexibility to work 5‑6 days a week, 45+ hours.
