Chartered Legal Executive – Residential Conveyancing

About the role

The firm is a modern, mid‑sized property law practice located in central London. They are seeking qualified Residential Conveyancing Lawyers – Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers or Chartered Legal Executives – to join the team from Autumn 2026. The role is full‑time with the option to work remotely or hybrid (one day a week in the office).

Key responsibilities

• Manage an individual caseload of 70‑100 residential conveyancing files, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity and remortgages.
• Work closely with an assigned paralegal to ensure efficient processing of transactions.
• Prepare and review conveyancing documentation for freehold and leasehold properties.
• Liaise with clients, mortgage lenders, solicitors and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation, notably the Building Safety Act and leasehold reforms.

Required profile

• UK‑qualified residential conveyancing professional (Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive).
• Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience (2 PQE).
• Ability to handle a high‑volume caseload while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to work independently.

Required skills

• Residential conveyancing practice.
• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act.
• Understanding of leasehold transaction processes.
