Chief of Staff – Group Finance (Hybrid, 12‑month contract)

About the role

The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CFO and senior finance leadership to provide governance, coordination and delivery across the Group Finance function of a global organisation. Based in London with a hybrid schedule (2‑3 days onsite), the role supports finance planning, reporting, transformation and cross‑functional projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate functional plans, priorities and deliverables across Group Finance.
• Manage governance frameworks, meeting cycles, agendas, action tracking and follow‑ups.
• Act as the central liaison between finance leadership, business units and corporate functions.
• Prepare and consolidate reporting, dashboards, briefing packs and performance updates for senior stakeholders.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and cross‑functional projects.
• Identify and drive improvements in processes, reporting, governance and ways of working.
• Maintain oversight of risks, issues, actions and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
• Promote consistency, accountability and effective collaboration across the finance function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Business Management, Finance Operations, PMO or Finance Transformation within complex organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management with experience engaging senior leadership teams.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple workstreams.
• Strong analytical capability with experience producing reports, dashboards and management information.
• Proactive, structured approach with high attention to detail.
• Experience working in Group Finance, CFO Office or corporate finance functions.
