Civil Engineering Technician – BIM & Civils 3D Specialist

About the role

Join our civil engineering team to design and model complex external works for large‑scale industrial and data‑centre projects. You will create coordinated 3D models of highways, earthworks, drainage and utilities, ensuring clash‑free deliverables that meet tight programme deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Create and adapt Civil 3D models for drainage, highway and utility networks.
• Interface with architects, building services engineers, project managers and cost managers on multi‑discipline projects.
• Produce high‑quality models and drawings with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Coordinate model interfaces, manage clash detection and support federated 3D outputs.
• Represent Ridge in communications with the wider design team.
• Manage and co‑ordinate highways and drainage designs for large development infrastructure.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar civil engineering role within a multi‑disciplinary organisation.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, particularly Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with Navisworks and 3D clash detection processes.
• Understanding of drainage design, SUDS, highways, cut‑and‑fill analysis.
• Experience on large, multi‑discipline projects from concept to completion.
