Claims Handler (APA/CIP Qualified) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a permanent, fully remote Claims Handler to join a fast‑growing VC‑backed insurtech company that uses AI to streamline claims processing. The successful candidate must hold an APA or CIP qualification and will manage claims from first notification through to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Handle claims end‑to‑end, from notification to settlement.
• Communicate with policyholders throughout the claims journey, ensuring a clear and positive experience.
• Review documentation, verify coverage, assess liability and set appropriate reserves.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain accurate claims records for audit and compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by flagging process inefficiencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months of claims experience.
• APA or CIP qualification – essential.
• Previous role as Claims Handler, Claims Executive or similar.
• Experience with personal‑lines insurance (pet, travel, gadget, auto, property) is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise independently.
• Comfortable using data to make decisions.
• Team‑oriented, hardworking and ambitious; startup or high‑growth environment experience is a plus.
