Claims Handler – Public & Employers Liability

About the role

The Claims Handler will manage a caseload of Public and Employers Liability claims up to a reserve value of £30,000, taking each case from inception through to pre‑litigation settlement. The role sits within the Keoghs team in Liverpool and reports to the Team Leader/Claims Unit Service Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage PL/EL claims up to £30,000 reserve limits to conclusion.
• Maintain accurate data in the case management system and comply with client SLA’s.
• Attend client review meetings and support client project work where required.
• Allocate new claims, carry out supervisory tasks and report to the Team Leader.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by the team leader.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience handling Public/Employers Liability claims.
• Experience evaluating, negotiating and settling claims with quantum up to £25,000.
• Flexible approach to work and ability to meet productivity standards.
• Supervisory experience is desirable.
