About the role
Academics is seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant to support a vibrant mainstream primary school in Gloucester. You will work alongside teaching staff to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment for young learners. The position starts as soon as possible and offers flexible, full‑time hours.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
- Help plan and prepare lesson materials.
- Offer one‑to‑one or small‑group support, especially for pupils with additional needs.
- Support individual students and small groups, focusing on those with SEN.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Maintain classroom organisation and contribute to the daily routine, ensuring activities run smoothly.
Required profile
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
- Availability to start ASAP and work full‑time (8:30‑3:30).
