About the role

Academics is seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant to support a vibrant mainstream primary school in Gloucester. You will work alongside teaching staff to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment for young learners. The position starts as soon as possible and offers flexible, full‑time hours.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
Help plan and prepare lesson materials.
Offer one‑to‑one or small‑group support, especially for pupils with additional needs.
Support individual students and small groups, focusing on those with SEN.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Maintain classroom organisation and contribute to the daily routine, ensuring activities run smoothly.

Required profile

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
Availability to start ASAP and work full‑time (8:30‑3:30).
