Cleaner – County Mall, Crawley

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness across County Mall in Crawley. You will work both indoors and outdoors, ensuring all areas are safe, tidy and welcoming for visitors, tenants and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean floors, toilets, lifts, escalators and back‑of‑house areas throughout the shopping centre.
• Perform jet‑washing, dust‑mopping, damp‑mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, litter picking and spot‑cleaning of glass surfaces.
• Maintain stainless‑steel fixtures, door panels and external areas such as service yards and car parks.
• Report health and safety issues and ensure site‑specific compliance checks are completed.
• Act as a helpful point of contact for customers and represent the ABM brand positively.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning experience in a retail or similar environment (preferred).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Approachable, courteous and attentive to detail.
• Flexible to meet changing business needs.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and COSHH regulations.
• B‑category driving licence.
• Operation of compactors, balers and floor‑cleaning machines.
