Commercial Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Account Manager to drive category growth and commercial performance across key merchant and retail accounts. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will act as the primary commercial lead for major accounts, ensuring product and category strategies align with market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for key accounts, including own‑brand ranges.
• Collaborate with Product Development to optimise assortments and meet customer requirements.
• Work with Technical Managers to ensure product compliance with standards.
• Analyse performance data to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
• Own the commercial relationship for major customers such as Toolstation, Wickes, Amazon, Howdens, Ironmongery Direct and Wayfair.
• Drive sales, profitability and service expectations across assigned accounts.
• Partner with Marketing to deliver high‑quality digital merchandising and product data.
• Maintain accurate product information across customer platforms and support continuous improvement of digital listings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial account management within retail or merchant environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, technical and marketing teams.
