Commercial Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Commercial Administrator to manage Applications for Payment (AFP) from initial logging through detailed review. The role involves analysing contractor claims against the Schedule of Rates (SOR V6) and contractual terms to ensure accurate and compliant payments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform line‑by‑line analysis of contractor claims and validate payments using evidence such as system data, reports, photos and quotations.
• Process cost variations through CRM and housing systems, maintaining up‑to‑date financial records.
• Handle a high‑volume workload of 50‑60 work orders per week while meeting quality standards.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues to resolve complex, contract‑sensitive matters.

Required profile

• Experience in commercial processing, contract management or financial analysis, preferably within housing, construction or repairs.
• Strong analytical ability and confidence in decision‑making under pressure.
• Familiarity with Schedule of Rates and contractual terms.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term full‑time contract until March 2027.
• Hourly rate of £20.54 inclusive of holiday.
• Initial week of office‑based training followed by one day per week on site (Thursday).
