Commercial Law Team Lead

About the role

The firm is seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to lead its growing Commercial Team. This senior position will head a specialist practice that advises innovative businesses across technology, biotech, SaaS, healthcare and other sectors on complex commercial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on commercial contracts, outsourcing arrangements, SaaS and software licensing agreements.
• Manage global supply-chain, procurement, distribution and managed-services agreements.
• Develop IP protection and commercialisation strategies for technology platforms and digital infrastructure projects.
• Handle regulatory, competition and other commercial issues.
• Lead client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for strategic matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, fostering their development.
• Support business-development initiatives and contribute to the growth strategy of the practice.

Required profile

• Significant experience practising commercial law with a strong track record of drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large commercial transactions.
• Leadership and team-management capability.
• Commercial awareness and excellent client-relationship skills.
• Experience advising technology-driven, healthcare or innovation-focused businesses is a plus.
