Commercial Litigation Solicitor Partner

About the role

Our client, a respected UK law firm, is expanding its disputes practice in Birmingham and the wider Midlands. They are seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor Partner to lead and grow a high‑value commercial litigation portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a broad commercial litigation practice, handling complex contractual, shareholder, partnership, professional negligence, fraud and asset recovery matters.
• Advise corporate clients, business owners and other key stakeholders on high‑value disputes.
• Drive business development initiatives and strengthen the firm’s market presence across the Midlands.
• Identify and develop new client relationships while maintaining existing ones.
• Contribute strategically to the direction of the disputes practice and the wider partnership.

Required profile

• Established Commercial Litigation Partner or senior legal professional (Legal Director, Counsel, Senior Associate) with a credible partnership business case.
• Strong technical expertise across a wide range of commercial disputes.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Demonstrable business development experience and commercial awareness.
• Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Ambition to grow and shape a successful disputes practice.
