Community Programmes Manager

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring Community Programmes Manager to lead the delivery and development of employment and skills services across Calderdale. You will join Newground Together, a charitable arm of Together Housing Group, to shape programmes that improve lives, strengthen communities and create sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop Community Programmes Coordinators and frontline staff to deliver high‑quality employment and skills services.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with local authorities, funders, community organisations and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, ensuring services remain innovative, customer‑led and outcome‑focused.
• Develop business plans, monitor operational performance and implement service enhancements.
• Manage budgets, monitor expenditure and ensure robust financial governance.
• Identify and secure external funding opportunities, supporting the preparation of bids and commercial proposals.
• Champion customer engagement to ensure programmes reflect local community needs.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in community employment, skills development or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships with public, private and third‑sector organisations.
• Experience managing budgets and securing external funding.
• Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and social impact.
