Compositor – Mid / Senior Level

About the role

Framestore is seeking a talented Compositor to join its London studio on a contract basis. You will work closely with Compositing Leads, Supervisors and VFX Supervisors to blend 2D, 3D and live‑action elements, delivering high‑end visual effects for feature films and episodic content.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate 2D, 3D and live‑action footage using Nuke to meet cinematic VFX standards.
• Work with multiple render passes and maintain shot schedules and deadlines.
• Communicate regularly with Production and other departments to keep projects on track.
• Balance creative vision with technical constraints, ensuring colour accuracy and lighting consistency.

Required profile

• Strong production experience with Nuke and handling multiple render passes.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pro‑active, collaborative work ethic with a keen eye for detail, composition, colour and lighting.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and solve problems under pressure.
• Understanding of colour‑space principles and the overall VFX pipeline.
