Construction Project Director

About the role

FindCore is recruiting on behalf of a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy for a permanent Construction Project Director based in London. The role sits at senior level and involves overseeing large‑scale construction and property projects from feasibility through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction and property projects from feasibility to completion and handover.
• Act as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships.
• Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, design teams and wider stakeholders.
• Monitor performance, risks, opportunities and mitigation measures; produce programme, financial and risk reports.
• Chair project meetings and ensure agreed actions are completed.
• Support procurement, contract administration and project governance.
• Monitor quality, costs, change control and key financial milestones.
• Ensure safe, efficient delivery aligned with client expectations.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, Building Surveying or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering construction or property projects within a consultancy or client‑side environment.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery, procurement routes and contract administration.
• Commercial awareness with experience monitoring project costs and budgets.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Professionalism, integrity and high attention to detail.
