Principal / Senior Acoustic Consultant – South East

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Principal/Senior Acoustic Consultant to join a leading multi‑disciplinary consultancy in London. The role involves delivering high‑quality acoustic and noise assessments for commercial projects across the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects, budgets and junior staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct noise assessments using modelling software such as CadnaA and CATT.
• Liaise with clients and design teams to integrate acoustic solutions.
• Contribute to environmental statements and acoustic design documentation.
• Analyse data and produce clear technical reports.

Required profile

• Degree in acoustics or a diploma in acoustic control recognised by the Institute of Acoustics.
• Extensive commercial experience in noise monitoring and assessment procedures.
• Strong knowledge of noise and vibration legislation, mitigation measures and EIA processes.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within an integrated services team.

• Data analysis and technical report writing.
• Understanding of environmental impact assessment processes.
