Consultant Psychologist

About the role

This permanent part‑time position offers a rewarding opportunity to work as a Consultant Psychologist within a locked rehabilitation hospital in Leeds. You will join a leading UK healthcare provider delivering integrated, active rehabilitation for patients preparing for community placement.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and respond promptly to referrals, conduct assessments and design effective therapy programmes.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring interventions align with each client’s therapy plan.
• Manage an assigned caseload, maintaining regular communication with clients, clinical staff and professional colleagues.
• Keep accurate, up‑to‑date case notes, clinical reports and electronic records.
• Present client information at multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Lead and coordinate professional colleagues, providing psychotherapeutic advice and supporting research and audit activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Psychologist with current HCPC registration.
• Experience working with complex clients at a strategic level.
• Proven ability to deliver specialist interventions for complex service users.
• Training in clinical supervision.
• Leadership and management experience.

Required skills

• Strong grasp of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and at least two additional therapeutic modalities.
