Control Centre Operator

About the role

The Control Centre Operator will work within the ICC team at Birmingham International Airport, monitoring Swissport UK’s telematics and safety camera systems in real time. You will help protect aircraft and ground support equipment by spotting and reporting safety and operational incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor telematics and safety camera feeds for violations such as aircraft damage, GSE misuse, speeding, idling, or incorrect parking.
• Log incidents promptly and escalate critical cases to the ICC Supervisor.
• Gather and compile evidence to support investigations into safety or operational events.
• Communicate potential risks and ongoing investigations to ground operations teams.
• Maintain accurate records and produce reports to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
• Follow established response protocols and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in a monitoring or control‑room environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret telematics data.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operational setting.
• Basic understanding of aviation or logistics safety protocols is a plus.
