Conveyancing Assistant

About the role

An established law firm in North West London is looking for a Conveyancing Assistant with post‑completion experience. You will support a busy residential conveyancing team, handling transactions from instruction through to completion and beyond. The role offers a hybrid working model within a supportive, fast‑paced legal environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support on residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
• Prepare and issue contract packs, legal documents and correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and solicitors to progress matters efficiently.
• Assist with exchange and completion, ensuring all documentation is in place.
• Carry out post‑completion work, including Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions.
• Draft security documents as required.
• Perform general legal administration such as opening/closing files, diary management and maintaining accurate case records.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in residential conveyancing, including post‑completion work.
• Good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post‑completion.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
