Solicitor/Associate – Abuse Law Team

About the role

Keoghs Scotland are seeking to recruit a 3‑5 PQE solicitor to join our expanding abuse team in Glasgow. The role involves handling a varied caseload of pre‑litigated and litigated abuse cases for both insurer and uninsured clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct forensic review and analysis of relevant documents.
• Analyse liability, quantum and causation.
• Assist in drafting advice and court documents.
• Draft court correspondence to clients and witnesses.
• Liaise with clients, conduct site visits and review files to assess litigation strategy.
• Prepare witness statements and instructions to experts and counsel.
• Support partners and team members as required.
• Contribute to business development through articles, blog pieces, e‑shots and presentations.
• Attend relevant events and networking opportunities.
• Manage case files and ensure accurate time recording.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of litigation experience.
• Team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong forensic and analytical abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Experience with sensitive and complex claims is preferable.
• Experience recording time is preferable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Familiarity with appearing in Sheriff Court and Court of Session is preferable.
