Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join a leading UK professional services firm in Manchester. You will work within a corporate tax team, supporting a diverse portfolio of middle‑market clients on compliance and advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporation tax returns and related compliance work for corporate clients.
• Assist with group reorganisations, capital allowances, R&D tax relief and transfer pricing matters.
• Support international tax issues, transaction structuring, restructurings and advisory projects.
• Act as a primary contact for clients, coordinating with internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality tax services.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate tax within a professional services environment, preferably at Assistant Manager level.
• Part‑qualified or qualified (ACA, ACCA or CTA) with solid grounding in UK corporation tax compliance.
• Strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines and confidence in client‑facing situations.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to develop junior colleagues.
