Corporate Tax Director

About the role

Menzies is expanding its corporate and international tax practice in Manchester and seeks a seasoned leader to shape and grow this new service line. As Corporate Tax Director you will drive strategy, advise high‑value clients and build a high‑performing team within a leading accounting firm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and launch a dedicated corporate and international tax offering for large clients in Manchester.
• Identify market opportunities and create go‑to‑market strategies to attract high‑value corporate groups.
• Provide expert advice on corporate tax planning, compliance and risk management for international and large corporate clients.
• Collaborate with internal specialists such as transfer pricing, global mobility and customs to deliver integrated solutions.
• Lead business development through networking, thought leadership and representation at industry events.
• Maintain technical excellence in a fast‑moving international tax landscape and coordinate cross‑border advice with HLB network firms.
• Recruit, mentor and manage a team to support the new service line.

Required profile

• ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent) with extensive post‑qualification experience in corporate tax.
• Proven track record advising large, international corporate clients within a professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax and international tax principles.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new service offerings and drive business growth.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
