Group Reporting Manager

About the role

A leading Manchester organisation is seeking a Group Reporting Manager to join its finance team. The role will manage consolidated reporting, provide insightful financial analysis across the group, and work closely with senior management and overseas entities to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly group management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary for stakeholders.
• Execute group consolidation processes and produce comprehensive reporting packs (balance sheets, profit & loss, cash flow, board materials).
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring balance‑sheet reconciliations and inter‑company eliminations.
• Present financial performance insights to senior management during review meetings.
• Assist in the preparation of group budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections, collaborating with various departments.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws and internal policies, liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, consolidation and detailed financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for presenting complex information to senior stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and experience working with auditors or tax advisors.
