Cost Controller – Hospitality

About the role

As a Cost Controller at a leading luxury hotel, you will ensure that food, beverage and general stock costs are accurately monitored and reported. Working closely with finance, purchasing, culinary and operational teams, you will provide insight that drives profitability while upholding the highest service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor food, beverage and general purchasing activity, ensuring stock control systems are used correctly.
• Analyse gross profit performance, identify margin improvement opportunities and reduce waste.
• Maintain and audit stock control procedures, investigating any discrepancies.
• Prepare daily cost reports and support month‑end inventory processes.
• Collaborate with kitchen teams to cost menus, recipes and promotions accurately.
• Support cost analysis for events, banquets and special projects.
• Manage purchasing and stock records, keeping supplier information up to date.
• Build strong relationships with managers and suppliers to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls and industry standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in cost control, finance, purchasing or stock management within hospitality or food & beverage.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams.
• Organised, proactive and capable of delivering accurate information for decision‑making.
