Cost Controller

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Cost Controller to join our finance team at the Livingston site. The role will analyse cost structures, provide insights and support financial decision‑making across operations, stores, logistics and procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse cost data and prepare detailed reports to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Stores, Logistics and Buyers to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Monitor and report on budget variances and financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
• Provide cost analysis for new projects and initiatives.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Support inventory management, including cycle count program and variance investigations.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience as a Cost Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (preferred).
• Experience with Tableau and Power BI for management reporting.
