Cost Engineer – Aerospace Projects

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Cost Engineer to join its Stevenage team. The role supports business acquisition and drives cost‑engineering activities for studies, proposals and future projects, ensuring competitive quotation baselines.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead comprehensive cost‑engineering activities for studies, proposals and EOS implementation projects.
• Collate, model and analyse cost and price data to establish accurate quotation baselines.
• Lead bid preparation with stakeholders to deliver competitive offers and implement win strategies.
• Manage estimation processes balancing price‑to‑win, design‑to‑cost, profitability and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost engineering, estimating and financial modelling within complex bidding environments.
• Ability to collate and analyse cost and price data using design‑to‑cost and price‑to‑win methodologies.
• Experience coordinating bid preparation and leading multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Track record supporting project schedule, cost and risk management through the full proposal lifecycle.
