Counter Fraud Litigation Lawyer – RTA Claims

About the role

We are seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to join our counter‑fraud team, handling complex road‑traffic accident (RTA) fraud cases for a range of insurance clients. The role involves managing a caseload of litigated fraud files, working closely with senior lawyers and claims handlers to achieve commercially sound outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Run fraud cases from the start of litigation through to final resolution.
• Handle linked and organised fraud claims, including fraud rings and multi‑claimant investigations.
• Manage staged or induced accident, bogus passenger, credit‑hire and low‑speed impact claims.
• Conduct large‑scale data and evidence analysis and coordinate multi‑defendant counter‑fraud investigations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil litigation claims handling or as a qualified legal file handler (ILEX, LPC, etc.).
• Understanding of insurance litigation practice, indemnity principles and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
• Strong advocacy, client‑care and analytical abilities with the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with time‑recording and billing systems and high‑level IT proficiency.
