Court of Protection Paralegal – London

About the role

We are a respected law firm seeking a compassionate and organised Court of Protection Paralegal to join our London team. This full‑time position offers the chance to develop a specialist legal career while supporting vulnerable clients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Support Partners and fee earners across a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters.
• Open client files, complete onboarding and compliance checks.
• Draft correspondence, legal documents and client communications.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper case files.
• Liaise with clients, families, professionals and third parties.
• Manage incoming calls, emails and general correspondence.
• Assist with financial administration, including client account records and payment processes.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in Court of Protection work and supporting vulnerable clients.
• Previous legal experience desirable, ideally in Court of Protection, Private Client or a similar area.
• LPC, Law Degree, CILEX or equivalent qualification advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients and families.
