Credit Controller – Hybrid (South Birmingham)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our growing marketing business on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in South Birmingham, you will work within a supportive finance team and enjoy hybrid working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 200 live client accounts.
• Chase outstanding debt and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Oversee a legacy client ledger and resolve historic balances.
• Investigate account histories before contacting clients.
• Resolve account queries and disputes.
• Produce reports and analyse data using Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Credit Control, Collections or Accounts Receivable.
• Excellent communication skills and empathy when dealing with clients.
• Strong problem‑solving and investigative abilities.
• Confidence handling complex client conversations and disputes.
• Organised with the ability to manage a busy workload.
