Credit Controller

About the role

This brand‑new position sits within the Commercial Property Management team, supporting high‑profile clients during a period of rapid growth. You will ensure rent, service charges, utilities and other client charges are collected promptly and provide regular reports to asset managers. The role is based in Birmingham and follows a hybrid working policy, with a standard 37.5‑hour week (Monday‑Friday).

Key responsibilities

• Work on a variety of accounting and property‑management systems.
• Manage a specific portfolio of clients and properties.
• Chase outstanding payments by telephone and email, issuing reminder letters when required.
• Issue copy invoices and tax receipts as needed.
• Follow company procedures to meet collection targets for rent, service charges and other fees.
• Liaise with the in‑house Risk & Compliance team for guidance.

Required profile

• 2+ years’ experience in a Credit Control role.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Understanding of professional services operations.
• General accounting experience with the ability to perform detailed reconciliations.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Ability to manage a busy workload with limited supervision.
• Property experience and Yardi knowledge are advantageous but not essential.
