Senior Client Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Client Accountant to join a well‑established property investment and development group in Birmingham. The role combines hands‑on accounting work with client‑account management and leadership of junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts across a diverse property portfolio.
• Perform month‑end close, reconciliations and prepare financial reports.
• Support the wider finance function with day‑to‑day accounting tasks.
• Mentor and supervise junior finance staff.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information.

Required profile

• Previous experience in property accounting or a similar client‑focused finance environment.
• Strong understanding of client accounting processes, including reconciliations, reporting and month‑end activities.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities, able to manage multiple entities and deadlines.
