Credit Controller – Office Based in Trafford Park

About the role

Our client, a well‑established and growing business in Trafford Park, is seeking a proactive Credit Controller / Administrator to join their finance team. The role centres on managing credit control activities, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the team with administrative duties.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the credit control process, chase outstanding payments and reduce aged debt.
• Build positive relationships with customers to secure timely and accurate payments.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and billing queries.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and payment information.
• Produce reports on aged debt and collection activity.
• Support the finance team with general administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with customers.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; experience with Sage is beneficial.
