Credit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to take full ownership of our credit control function. Working within a collaborative finance team in Birmingham, you will drive cash‑flow performance, reduce aged debt and support the overall financial health of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end credit control operation and manage a high‑volume, complex ledger.
• Implement best‑practice processes, monitor team performance and set/review KPIs.
• Ensure strict adherence to credit policies while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve account queries and minimise financial risk.
• Identify and implement procedural improvements to enhance collection efficiency.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Credit Manager, Senior Credit Controller or Accounts Receivable Manager in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proven track record of reducing aged debt, improving cash flow and meeting collection targets.
• Experience supervising or managing a credit control team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to anticipate issues.
