Curriculum Development Manager – Northwest England

About the role

Pearson is seeking a Curriculum Development Manager to support further‑education colleges across the Northwest of England. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping institutions navigate curriculum reform, funding changes and qualification strategy while driving commercial growth for Pearson’s vocational qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with a regional portfolio of FE colleges.
• Provide curriculum planning support using policy insight, funding knowledge and data analysis.
• Promote adoption and expansion of Pearson qualifications such as BTEC, T Levels, Higher Nationals and Functional Skills.
• Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and support new product uptake.
• Deliver presentations, training and engagement activities for college stakeholders.
• Analyse regional trends and adapt strategies to maximise impact and revenue.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
• Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline management via CRM tools.

Required profile

• Strong experience within Further Education (Post‑16) and a commercial mindset.
• Background working in or with FE colleges (e.g., Head of Department, Faculty Lead, Quality Nominee).
• Understanding of vocational and technical qualifications (BTEC, T Levels, etc.).
• Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based, regional role.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM tools for pipeline and reporting management.
