Curriculum Team Leader & Health Lecturer

About the role

Bath College is seeking a Curriculum Team Leader and Lecturer in Health to drive high‑quality, learner‑centred provision across its health and social care programmes. This permanent, full‑time position combines strategic curriculum leadership with hands‑on teaching responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of academic staff, ensuring delivery of a diverse portfolio of health courses.
• Oversee curriculum development, quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as attendance, achievement, retention and assessment outcomes.
• Coordinate marketing and information, advice and guidance (IAG) activities to recruit suitable learners.
• Deliver high‑standards of teaching, assessment and learner support for T‑Level Health, BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care, and HE programmes.
• Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans and learning materials.
• Maintain accurate records of formative and summative assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading academic teams and managing curriculum delivery in health‑related education.
• Strong understanding of assessment requirements and awarding body standards.
• Demonstrated ability to improve student outcomes and meet performance targets.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills for staff and learners.
