Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join Allwyn UK’s Cyber Security Team and help build a world‑class Security Operations Centre. The role will drive the development, maintenance and improvement of our security engineering toolsets and capabilities, supporting the organisation’s transformation journey.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the security engineering toolset used by the SOC.
• Develop and maintain advanced and predictive analytics based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Perform correlation monitoring across multiple SIEM platforms to ensure threat‑led operations.
• Gather forensic data and conduct investigations, acting as incident responder when required.
• Provide guidance and training on data trend analysis for security use‑case development.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability identification and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with Risk, Technology and Operations stakeholders and act as a subject‑matter expert in cyber security.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security operations, analytics and incident response.
• Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its application.
• Ability to work independently and advise business units on security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
