Cyber Security Lead

About the role

QBE Europe is looking for a Cyber Security Lead to join its European Cyber Security team in London. The role is accountable for both operational delivery and advisory services, driving continuous improvement and transformational change in how cyber and information‑security risk is managed across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an effective cyber and information‑security capability across QBE, partnering to ensure appropriate risk mitigation.
• Develop cyber and information‑security awareness and curiosity throughout the organisation.
• Build strong collaborative relationships, providing advice and solving root‑cause security problems.
• Identify security weaknesses, own the mitigation process and see it through to a secure conclusion.
• Drive cyber engagement to ensure issues are identified, self‑reported and communicated to key stakeholders.
• Act with integrity and transparency in threat and risk identification and problem solving.
• Model the creation, innovation and negotiation of risk‑mitigation solutions, fostering fast‑paced, agile behaviours.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QBE’s cyber‑security programmes and projects.
