Cyber Security Lead – London

About the role

QBE Europe is seeking a Cyber Security Lead to join its European Cyber Security team in London. The role is responsible for delivering and advising on cyber and information security across the business, driving continuous improvement and transformational change.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an effective cyber and information security capability across QBE.
• Develop cyber and information security awareness and experience throughout the organisation.
• Build strong collaborative relationships, provide advice and solve root‑cause security problems.
• Identify security weaknesses, lead mitigation efforts and ensure secure conclusions.
• Drive cyber engagement, ensuring issues are identified, self‑reported and communicated to stakeholders.
• Act with integrity and transparency in threat and risk identification.
• Model creation, innovation and negotiation of risk‑mitigation solutions.
• Develop, execute and assure an effective cyber practice, including policy adoption.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship may be considered at QBE’s discretion).
• Highly collaborative with a sustained curiosity for deep technical knowledge.
• Ability to translate technical insight into strategic business outcomes.
