Data Associate – Ratings Data Management

About the role

The Data Associate – Ratings Data Management will join the Ratings Data Center of Excellence at S&P Global Ratings in London. The role focuses on improving data quality, automating processes, and supporting the organisation’s data transformation agenda through technical design and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret business use cases and feature requests, translating them into technical designs and development tasks.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tests to validate data, handle change requests, and deliver automation solutions on schedule.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, exceptions, and client queries within defined service levels.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to optimise workflows, enhance data quality, and drive operational efficiency.
• Support onboarding, process‑improvement, and automation projects that reduce manual effort and generate measurable business value.
• Contribute to global operational coverage and participate in technical discussions aligned with the data transformation strategy.

Required profile

• Intermediate SQL knowledge with proven experience in querying, validating, and analysing data.
• Ability to develop data‑validation scripts and deliver technical solutions that meet quality standards.
• Experience with cloud‑based infrastructure, preferably Databricks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet agreed timelines.
