Trainee Junior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Portsmouth as a Trainee Junior Project Manager. This entry‑level position is designed for candidates with little or no prior project‑management experience who are eager to start a career in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior project managers in planning, scheduling and monitoring project activities.
• Support the preparation of project documentation, status reports and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate communication between project team members and stakeholders.
• Help track project budgets, timelines and deliverables using standard tools.
• Participate in risk identification and mitigation activities under supervision.

Required profile

• Organised, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in developing a professional project‑management career.
• Willingness to complete the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification as part of the role.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of project terminology and processes.
