Data Engineer Apprentice

About the role

Join the Data Engineering team at Transform, a fresh alternative to big consulting, and learn how to deliver data engineering pipelines for complex client datasets. You will work closely with client services, data engineers, business analysts, delivery managers and data analysts/scientists. This apprenticeship provides hands‑on experience across a variety of data sources and technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver data engineering pipelines to support client data products, marketing, reporting and analytics.
• Understand client needs and implement solutions using available technology stacks.
• Work with diverse data sources such as CRM, sales, real‑time streams and unstructured data.
• Build and configure data ingestion methods from APIs, flat files, streaming services, public data sources and surveys.

Required profile

• Problem‑solving ability to tackle complex technical issues and devise elegant solutions.
• Clear communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical colleagues.
• Reliability in juggling development tasks, testing and operational support to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Python or C# for data processing and manipulation.
• SQL and NoSQL databases (Azure SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MySQL, Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
• Databricks and Azure DevOps.
• ELT/ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Data ingestion techniques using APIs, flat files, streaming and public data sources.
