Data Platform Engineer

About the role

The Data Platform Engineer will ensure the firm’s enterprise data platform is stable, secure and supportable. Working on Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and related Azure services, the role provides the operational foundation for reliable, observable and governed production use across EMEA and EMEAPAC.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 operational support for Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and associated Azure services.
• Maintain platform health, availability, resilience and supportability across the data platform estate.
• Perform routine administration, capacity monitoring and performance optimisation, including cost awareness.
• Manage incidents, problems and service requests following ITSM processes and support major incident response.
• Validate and support change, release and environment management, ensuring configuration consistency across Development, Test and Production.
• Define and execute operational QA checks, verify monitoring, alerting, logging and access controls before production releases.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, service‑focused attitude with a strong commitment to platform stability and continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate with Architecture, Information Security, Service Delivery, Infrastructure teams, suppliers and business stakeholders.
• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines, Terraform and Azure DevOps governance frameworks.
