Deputy Head of Finance & Accounting (Mandarin required)

About the role

This senior finance position is based in London and requires fluency in Mandarin. You will support the Branch CFO in overseeing finance and accounting functions for a wholesale banking operation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily reconciliation, product control, valuation adjustments and FX movements.
• Prepare and review financial reports for management, head office and regulators (PRA/FCA).
• Analyse liquidity metrics, management information and material variances.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close processes, ensuring accurate variance analysis.
• Maintain accounting, liquidity, tax and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Oversee fixed‑asset and accounts‑payable systems and ensure timely expense processing.
• Support internal and external audit activities and deliver project work as assigned by the Branch CFO.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a senior finance manager role within wholesale banking or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of UK banking regulations and wholesale banking products.
• Proven leadership in a multicultural environment and ability to work with cross‑border teams.

Required skills

• Mandarin language proficiency.
• ACCA or ACA qualification.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 9.
• Experience with wholesale banking products.
